If you want to know how you can stop food cravings then you need to eat smaller portions of food – that’s the straight forward answer. I have heard this line a different times before and used to say it a lot at my work place, at home at work and while with my friends. Let me spend a few minutes sharing about food cravings.

Let start by saying that eating a lot does not consequentially lead to cravings for food or weight gain but it is the choice of food you allow yourself to eat. If you eat certain types of foods more often may lead to increased levels of cravings and eating another type of food might help them. This “good” food has the power to enable you to stop your cravings. For instance, B vitamins can help you stop them if you take them as prescribed. The vitamins will help adjust the rate of food break-down i.e. metabolism, in your body. The B-complex vitamins can be found in rice, liver, meats, whole-grain cereals fruits, fish, milk, leafy green vegetables and eggs.

It follows then that food cravings are by and large caused by chemical imbalances in our body system and so by eating the right foods with the right nutrients will enable your body to access the necessary ingredients to help it function normally and be in a position to control the chemical orientation in your body. This is true even for woman who are premenstrual and want some foods that fight PMS.

This is why you will often come across commercial that promote weight loss programs saying you do not have to cut back on your eating habits. The product developers basically create some anti depressants that enables the creation of some certain resources that are much needed for your system or body so that is remains healthy and cravings free. They have since understood what needs to be present in your body in order to make you feel good, find eating desiresand lose weight without cutting back on your diet.

Even though I cannot deny the effectiveness of antidepressants, I am not, however,  fully sold out to them mostly because they tend to have side effects for some people such a irritability, nausea, to mention just a few. If you ask me I will recommend using natural ways to deal with your food addiction problems and you can do this by understanding the body’s chemical make-up and then stay balanced by taking all the necessary foods.

I trust so far you can relate even if you are facing some premenstrual food cravings

You can easily control your eating habits without spending thousands on useless and artificial products. For example, to stop some PMS sugar cravings, I often tell people to take stock and do the following, becareful of the things or emotions that trigger the food desires, exercise often as this has a good effect on your mood, When you feel like eating try drinking a glass of water also replace your junk food with some healthy food for example, eat chocolates that have not fat.
